This is where it all begins. Your dog learns how to respond to the e-collar in a calm, controlled environment. We teach clear communication using low-level stimulation, introducing recall, sit, down, and heel with zero pressure or distraction.

Focused Heeling: We build strong attention and engagement during heelwork, including straight lines, turns, halts, and figure-8s. Precision and style are both developed to meet competitive standards. Sit, Down & Stand in Motion: Your dog learns to hold each position confidently while you move away—critical for trial success. We teach each movement with clarity and ensure proper posture, placement, and timing. Reliable Recalls: From fast, straight-line recalls to front sits and finishes, we teach a clean, competition-ready recall with speed and precision. Place & Stays: We build impulse control and focus during extended sit-stays, down-stays, and send-to-place exercises—foundational for trial ring behavior and proofing. Marker Training & Motivation: We teach handlers how to use verbal markers and reward systems to build clarity, drive, and joy in the dog’s work. Handler Mechanics: Competitive obedience is just as much about the handler as the dog. We coach you on leash handling, footwork, and timing to ensure consistency and polish.

While this course is focused on competition goals, we also believe obedience should hold up outside the ring. Your dog will work through controlled distractions to ensure their skills are dependable in both sport and life.
